is there a set distance a gravel soakaway has to be away from the building, the soakaway will be used for rainwater drainage....

soakaways should be 5 etres away form the gully and 1 cubic metre in depth/size filled with brick rubble or gravel as specified by building control.

lcgs, you've said its 5m from the gulley, not sure this is right.

I think its 5 metres away from the building in order to protect the foundations.
