Our kitchen sink is to be relocated with a dishwasher located under the drainer. This puts an existing power point directly underneath the sink, behind the bowl & about 150mm away from the H/C water pipes. I was hoping to use this for the dishwasher but is it a permissable location or will it have to be relocated. If so, what is regarded as a permissible location; i.e. does it have to be outside boundary of the kitchen sink unit?

Never have a connection under the sink. I just had a big problem sorted out which was a nightmare for me through out the week.

Try to move the socket away from the sink as much as you can to avoid possible moist / leak which will short circuit.
