There seems to be differing advice on what's acceptable wrt horizontal 2.5 mm cabling behind a skirt even if it's less than 150mm from the floor. The skirts will be new with gap filling adhesive to attach them to the walls. Any informed advice? Thanks
Normal wooden skirting board - this is not acceptable. If you use plastic trunking which at a distance looks like skirting board it's ok. The point is whether by e.g knocking on it you would know not to drill/nail through it. Rehau make such trunking.
The new sockets will be at the same height as the existing sockets which are 400mm above the concrete floor. The skirts are coming off both for karndean and to hide the surface mounted 10mm heating pipes. Was going to ask an electrician to install extra sockets whilst the skirts were off.
