Soffit Vents

If I have a standard flat roof, do I need to have soffit vents?

If so how to they need to be fitted, can I just add them into the celling or do I need to setup a proper ventillation system?

If it's for a new roof construction, it will need more than soffit vents or is it for improving an old roof

Its for an existing roof, in its currnt state about 2 years old (i.e. we recently had it re-done). Overall the roofs been in place for about 20 years.

Fit these Circular soffit vents under the soffit, the more the merrier.

Available in Brown or White from Screwfix.
