Any recommendations on what's come loose to let this soffit drop? I need to have a look at reattaching, but can't suss out what should be holding it flush with the wall?

It looks as if it was simply wedged in place. Along the face of the wall, there should have been lengths of plastic U channel, screwed into place, for the soffit to slot into.
