Hello,
I have got a soil pipe running on the outside wall, then through the conservatory roof into the convervatory. What looks to have happened is that the conservatory has been built without moving the soil pipe, but just cutting a gap through the conservatory roof with the soil pipe staying in its original location and just passing through. The soil pipe is boxed in from the inside of the conservatory.
I have homeserve cover so had them out to look at it today, they said the only way to do the job is for me to get someone out to remove the roof panel for them so they can cut off the section of soil pipe and replace. Then my roofer would have to return to refit the roof section.
I am weary of having that panel taken out due to the future leaks, the conservatory is probably 12 years old so disturbing the panel worries me. The bit where the soil pipe runs through was sealed with some crappy silicone and needs re doing anyway which i
Would it be possible to leave the panel in place and get the repair done to the soil pipe?
Any advice on the best way of tackling this, im happy not to use homeserve to sort it if its possibly to leave the roof panel in place and cut out/replace the soil pipe.
