soil pipe

If i were to terminate a soil pipe inside the house, using an air inlet valve, would i still have to vent the system somewhere else, i only ask because i was going to build a small roof across from my house to the garage, i removed all the existing roof that was there and replaced the soil stack, i did intend to build a new roof (pitched) and terminate inside rather than go through the roof (possible leak point) some guy told me i couldn't do it.

Do you have an open vent anywhere else on your system? If you do then in certain circumstances you can use an AAV
