Hi I live in a 1930`s semi detached house with soild external walls. I have noticed that the exterior wall is always cold and prone to condensation. I have installed an extractor fan in the bath room and the kitchen I have also installed trickle vents on the new windows upstairs. I have walked the perimeter of the house and can only see 3 wall vents all at low level under the floor void (the house has suspended wood floors) I have checked all of these and they are all clear. There still seems to be alot of condensation on the windows and the external wall is there anything else I can do to combat this?
Also I am considering insulating the flank wall using thermaline plus board (27 or 35mm thick.) As this comes with a vapour barrier can I fix this striaght to the wall using an adhesive also would I need to skim the new insulated plasterboard or could I decorate striaght onto it. any ideas or answers would help.
Thanks
