Been a while since I had to do any soldering and I am rusty. Will be doing some practice before going for real, but if I use solder ring fittings, do i need to bother with flux?

OK thanks, any particular solder better than another?

And use the flux SPARINGLY!! otherwise you WILL get leaking joints. Anyway, end feed is better than solder ring.

Don't overheat and stop as soon as the solder starts to appear as a ring around the coupling otherwise it'll all run out of the joint.

If this happens remove the heat a little and apply solder as if it were an end feed coupling.

Oh, and did I say ... Don't overheat ;)
