Hi, I'm looking to do a curved desk top out of either oak or maybe pine does anyone know the best place to get this from? It only has to be 1400mm L 600mm W and thickness can be between 18- 27mm. I live in Nottingham on the off chance anyone know anywhere in nottm.
Thanks, Kev.

if it has a heavy frame you may be luck and get a fully seasoned bit that wont twist and warp
normal practice is to glue several bits side by side alternating the growth rings up then down
off cut off worktop or scaffold boards at around 38mm and 225 wide

For solid oak, your best bet is Fitchett and Woolacott's of Lenton Lane.
Great timber yard for all sorts of timber, especially the more exotic varieties (or used to be)

My desk is 18mm oak blockboard , much more stable and looks a s good.

Looks tidier than my desktop Foxy. At least you can see some timber there!!!
