Hell(o) again....
I've got a small entrance hall that I wish to lay solid wood flooring, its approx 800mm x 1800mm (think 2m square will cover?) Question I suppose is......
:?: New skirting also, which goes first?
:?: Allowing for expansion, how much?
:?: DIY-able or any advice?

Not a big fan of quadrant etc and like it neat

A) floor first
B) minimum 10mm
C) why not?

If you put your skirtingboards back, then there's no need for quadrants etc. Or you could use flat beading.

P.S. in hallways we recommend Wood-Engineered floors.

Thanks,
I really struggled to find any attractive wood engineered flooring...
Whats gonna be the major difference....

Biggest advantage of wood-engineered versus solid is the better stability wood-engineered floors give, specially for hallways: wetter, colder etc

See my profile for our website, we do lots of various wood-engineered flooring, even attractive ones
