The rear elevation of my house is brickwork with one coat of coloured render that's been painted. I'm getting damp patches appearing on the inside wall. Would something like Stormdry be of any use or is that only for exposed brick rather than completely covered brick?

how do you know it is penetrating damp and not the far more common condensation?
