Evening all just had a job come through ready to start but I'm not 100% sure on the roof the architect has drawn up.

I've attached a picture off the proposal.

The extension is going out about 4 meters and has a 10 degree pitch with forticrete tiles.

Personally I wound go for a flat roof or even a flat roof section up by the cill.

What are your thoughts?

Ps. I pitch roofs myself but haven't done one like this in a while, just wanted to know if I pitch the roof from the outside furthest plate first at 10 degrees and then I guess the right side of the roof will be a steeper pitch?

thanks everyone

No. The right side will just end up with a higher wall plate position.

Ten degrees is norra lorra fall. The Velux windows will not work on a 10°pitch. They require a min 15° pitch.

I keep coming across leaking velux roof windows were they under pitched, The tiled roof flashing kit requires 20 degree's min.
