Hi - trying to rescue our shed. It's generally good, but the window cill has seen better days and was probably not deep enough from the start. It is one of those sheds with sloped windows all along the front (8' shed). So I need to find something I can use to replace the cill (at least 2400 mm) ideally with a drip rebate. I've replaced the shiplap under the window and will be fitting a gutter also as teh front gets hammered by the weather. I have no idea where I can buy a length of suitable cill. Whenever I Google, I'm just getting door width weatherboards or internal cills.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for taking a look. You can see the bit I'm trying to replace here which runs along the bottom of the windows. The second picture is of the cill on the side window. You can it's about 40mm deep currently with a drip groove. I woudl like to get something which is ideally a bit deeper as I don't think it projects far enough at the moment. Going to replace all the beads holding the glazing so when tha's all off, I want to replace this cill.

A hardwood cill would be better, I would be inclined to contact a few local timber merchants who offer a cutting/milling service, I'm not sure you'll find something exactly to suit off the shelf, or do you have the tools necssarry to be able to reduce an off the shelf cill down to suit?

Easy enough to plane chamfer on edge of a 4x2 and run a circular saw along underside to give a drip slot.

Some ideas there although I haven't come across any timber merchants like that around my way (Surrey). Have seen some weatherbar which I might be able to use since I'm replacing the battens on the glass. Might also be just the excuse I need for some more tools! Thanks for the suggestions.
