Hi, the black spade connector that connects to the NTC thermistor has a cable problem. One of the 2 has a loose connection below insulation, about half inch out from connectoe. Is it possible to remove the 2 red cables from the connector, cut and strip the faulty part and reconnect? Or can a new connector be bought? Thanks for any help.

New connectors and other parts can be obtained for most things - but what is this connector for?

Hi, thanks for replying. It is for a thin cable that joins the spade connector that attached to 2 prongs on the boiler thermistor. In the cable just before the spade connector there is a break as has been found when fault finding.

Any chance of a picture of this connector? It may or may not be something fairly standard. I'd say try the boiler manufacturer but they will probably want you to buy an entire new wiring harness.

If by "spade connector" you mean a bog-standard 6.35mm crimp terminal, also known as "lucar" connectors, you can get them pretty much anywhere, but we'd have to see a picture to attempt to ID it properly.
