    Hi

From the roof I have 3 wires:

    Red (live)
    Black (Neutral)
    Yellow/Green (Earth)

My new light fitting has a 4-way connection block

    Connector 1 has earth (yellow/green)
Then there are 2 white cables each with one live (brown) and one blue (neutral) wire coming out of them

Connector 2 has one of the live (brown) wires
Connector 3 has both of the 2 neutral (blue) wires
Connector 4 is empty but the remaining live (brown) wire looks like it's just came loose from there

So... I have 3 wires from the roof and a 4 way connector block, could someone advise how I connect this up please?

    Thanks

    Steve

Sounds like the loose brown wire should be in 2.

4 will be there as a spare for a 'loop in' wiring scheme - you do not have that.

The your earth goes to 1
    red goes to 2
    black to 3

If you not sure, post a picture of the light and we'll have a look.

Or take it back to the shop and get another one.

PS. Didn't it come with wiring instructions?

    Thanks, that makes sense

Both neutrals in the one connector and both lives in one connector then just join them up like to like...perfect!

Sounds like your new fitting has two lamps connected to it so as Taylortwocities has suggested.
Connection terminal 1 earth cpc of fitting to earth/cpc of circuit
Two browns in connection terminal 2 connected to red of circuit
Two blues in connection terminal 3 connected to black of circuit
Connection terminal 4 is a spare used as loop in live, which you don't need!
