Remember when people used to say it was a german problem , Brits are by far the worst . Hotels need to enforce the not left alone and not before 9am policy .Been in a few that this policy works wonders

I went to Barbados earlier in the year and the hotel staff calmly collected all the towels and put them back on the towel desk. If you wanted to keep your bed while having lunch they would put a 1 hour sign on your bed.

Funnily enough, there were always plenty of beds.

About 30 years ago, we were staying somewhere in Majorca which was a mainly German resort. They would lay their towels out at 11.00 each night. On our last day at around 4.00am, me and my mate went out and chucked every towel in the pool. It was fun to watch them at breakfast time fishing them out.

Got up as we do at 5 in morning for a pish as im going back to bed something catches my eye looks over the balcony and there is someone in the pitch black with a torch heading out to put towels out . Crazy

I just couldn't embarrass myself to do this. It is cringe just seeing them, I just walk out and with my amazing looks people just naturally give up their loungers for me. I have had woment throwing their husbands off the loungers so I would lay next to them.
