I am starting to look at the possibility of creating a mezzanine floor level gym at the side of a swimming pool and was wondering if anyone knows what load limits etc I have to plan for and how that in turn relates to thickness of the concrete and rebar to put in the floor.

Any ideas ?

Do you mean a concrete floor for the mezz, or the floor around the pool?

The mezz floor to carry the weight of the gym equipment. I am looking to have maybe half a dozen machines such as treadmill, crosstrainer, static bike, step, rowing machine. Not so worried to use weights but will probably have some free weights to use with a rebok step and mats.

Average weight of a machine would be about 250-350kg and would be about 1 meter wide and 2.30 long.

Generally I would guess that most machines stand on 'legs' so it is all 'point pressure'!
