speedfit inserts

someone mentioned that when the plastic pipes get hot they are prone to burst the joint off so its advisable to fit inserts into the pipes to strengthen them.

Does this mean the cold water system doesn't need inserts?

NOPE!, They all need inserts.

and if you have fitted any without inserts, strip them appart and fit some!!

Ditto...lots of inserts do work out to quite a bit of money but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than repairing water damage when a fitting blows off.
