Split 15mm plastic mains pipe..URGENT

The water supply to outside tape, just put spade through the pipe.
No shut off valve cant bend the pipe to shut it off. Need temp fix.

I have shut the mains off, will a soldering iron melt the pipe enough to seal it till tomorrow.

What colour pipe is it?

Its grey...Just been to local shop they had an inline connector.
So fingers crossed.

Would have expected it to be Blue (MDPE) or Black (Alkathene) it could be that it has been run in 15mm Polybutelyne (Hep2o / Polyplumb) if it is you will need inserts as well as a coupler.

I reckon it is Durapipe, a solvent weld plumbing system. Dig out and see if there is a sort of connector or fitting.
