One forum for general plumbing to include heating radiators, pumps and motor valves!

The other for boilers and gas fires and instant water heaters.

Dear diynot my heating doesn't come on. Can you tell me whether it's the boiler or a motorised valve so I can put the question in the right section??!!??

Softus' split looks about right to me.
Water supply systems, like tanks with pump sets, or accumulators, lead to hot water, so straddle the two. I'd put them in with the Heating topics.

A unanimous vote, but no action?

Are you still debating if it should be done, or rather when and how it should be done?

IMHO this is more of a WIBNI than a necessity, because I don't understand what people think is the problem that a split would solve.

I think boiler problems and general plumbing would be the way to go.

Have you decided Mr Diynot. :?: :D

Yes, it will be split, I've held off while the search was updated as it would have complicated the indexing. There are a few more things to sort in that respect and then I will split it :)
