Spot light

My ederly father has a old type R80 40w reflector spotlight in a alcove where he sits, This is run off a fused connection switch, I have moved the fused switch location due his now limited mobility, so he can reach it, I now need to run longer light cable to the spotlight, in fact I going to replace with new led light
The cable to light which I have disconnected is only 2 core, live/neutral, so I presume the light must be double insulated, pic of light I intend to buy, will I ned twin and earth cable or are this lights double insulated and what size cable please, screwfix light up to 50w

Even if it doesn't need an earth just run one anyway.....1mm t and e will do ya.

Lots of “clap” operated switches and light bulbs around , no need to reach for a switch .
