I'm not a spark but my guess is wrong tails used. I mean the colours are all blue in the second photo when you should have a brown one? Wrong live/neutral connection by DNO bloke?

But it looks neater than the job i had done at my place. If you look under my meter there is half a cm of bare strand!!!
All done by a part p bloke.

But it does look like henleys between serive head and meter.

Dodgy bit of black 4mm from neutral of service head.

I hate seeing sheath stripped back like that.

Very messy.

Is this TT? Rare to see a PME when supplied by two singles. The black could be the earth?

A 'Part P bloke' shouldn't be touching the meter :?

Some meters have a built in isolator and the outgoing terminals in a separate compartment (the incoming side of the meter is sealed) which is OK for a normal electrician to terminate to, they do have to do it properly tho!

As for the pics, the top one there is no gland and the other ones the DNO fuse seal fairy has been around, the earthing isn't very nice.

 Main fuse isn't connected directly into the Henly block by any chance ??

Which kind of supply ??

Ed

what's picture 1?

looks like a TNCS head but no G&Y in the E block

TN-C-S or TN-S ;-)

Obviously not TN-S due to only two 'tails' supplying. But TN-C-S is not usually provided over two singles.

The image is over exposed and out of focus.

Not a clue about all the wires n stuff, best ask an electrician

Strangely enough, because I was focusing on the cable, not the enclosure. And it's not over-exposed, or the whole image would be too light. It's just the reflection of the flash on the light-coloured shiny plastic.

This isn't a f*cking masterclass in photography...

I know this isint the main problem but the mechanical sheath is stripped terribley

It is probably my eye sight but the tales entering the meter look some what on the small side?

Oh and it looks a right mess and what the hell is that dodgy bit of black 4mm for?

The wood it is all on looks as if it has been borrowed from the back of a cheap ikea wardrobe?

Where does / what does that phantom piece of earth cable do / go to in picture 1?

What / where does the rather tightly curved piece of cable do / go from the bottom of the servicehead? the one covered in paint? and clipped with that crappy clip

The square black enclosure normally installed beneath beneath the service fuse holder is missing.
