Tiling my kitchen so had to remove electric sockets and I have a quick question regarding my cooker connection unit on the wall.

I noticed that the cooker connection unit is connected to the 20amp mcb in the consumer unit via an above unit double pole isolation switch. The cable is 4mm.

What made me think is that there is also a 3 pin plug socket which also sits behind the oven and this is spurred from the cooker socket with 2.5mm T/E; this socket is only used for the gas hob igniter.

Is this ok?

I have had a search through the forum and I still can’t find my answer and I’m a bit confused.

Can't see much of a problem given it's protected by a 20A fuse a little unconventional though.
