I'm replacing a free standing gas cooker with a single gas oven, with light and auto ignitition, and separate gas hob, also with auto ignition.

Can someone tell me what the requirement is for a spurred fuse and how this fits in with regulations about wiring in kitchens?

Currently the cooker plugs into existing sockets.

a fuse is required when an appliance is connected to a circuit, and the circuit fusing is above that required for the appliance.

e.g. a ring circuuit fused at 32A supplying a cooker ignition requiring less than 3A.
