Hi all
we're in the process of buying a house and I noticed that a lot of the upstairs floor squeaks noticeably when walked on. The current owner says that the floor is all chipboard and that "it's always done that".
One of the first things we'll do when we move in is completely re-carpet so that's a good opportunity to sort this out.
Is it as simple as ensuring that the boards are securely screwed to the joists, or is it more complex than that?
Cheers
