There has been a significant increase in the number of benefit claimants, PIP claims has doubled and is set to keep on increasing, the benefits bill isn’t a cut but an attempt to slow the increase.

Lots of Labour MPs are not supporting the bill because of the changes it wants to make on the eligibility scores, which would leave too many claimants in dire circumstances.


Labour MPs are putting the concerns of their constituents first, which is exactly how our representative democracy should work.

I am only posting this to add a bit of colour. But, the two I know reasonably well are. They have both been Reform voters right from the start, so part of the base. One is a really lovely person in most respects, incredibly kind and generous, but admits to being racist. The other said to me a few months ago "I've got to be honest. I fckin hate these people." By which he means Pakistanis and other Muslims. That finally made me decide that he probably is racist.

The way I look at it is, and here's the important bit first, as long as they're not doing anything illegal and/or obviously nasty, people are entitled to be whatever they want in terms of the 'ists.'

I also reckon many of us are ist in one or more ways, however we don't admit it for obvious reasons.

It's been a near disaster for them, started by their ludicrous decision on the winter fuel payments. And when I say ludicrous I'm not referring to whether it was a good idea or not, I'm referring to the fact they were THICK not to realise it would go down like a ton of bricks. If they wanted to do it, they should have scheduled it for year two of their tenure, thus waiting to see how things were going with the electorate in year one.

I still cannot believe they did it so soon.

Well well well even notch is now entertaining the prospect of Nigel Farage as prime minister. Just like I said would happen, I predicted it even before Farage himself said he was even going to stand as an MP.
I said if you vote labour you will end up with farage as PM in 5 years time Notch said there is zero chance of it happening

It was planned whilst in opposition and the cynically implemented it straight away in the hope that the electorate would forget in 5 years time but because of the stupid mistake that is now 4 years and people will not forget
