Hi all

Am going to be ready to laying my laminate floor sometime this evening hopefully.

It's two rooms knocked into one so the total length is 6.8 m

The boards are 1285mm

What looks best staggering wise?

If I staggered each row say a 3rd of the length (428mm) would it look odd with a diagonal stagger effect going down the length of the room?

Or would I be better staggering 1/2 a board length

Hope that makes sense

thanks

Random staggering works best, don't try to follow a pattern. Use 1/2, 1/3 and perhaps even bits that are 800mm long.

If you check the installation instructions it usually tells you to use the offcut from one row to start the next row - providing it is of a certain length (this will vary between products).
