Stainless Steel Teapot - leaking spout

Can anybody recommend a repair medium for a Stainless Steel Teapot that is leaking where the spout joins the main body - I'd quite happily throw it away, but I've just found out how much my other half paid for it - the shop she purchased it from has gone bust - I wonder why! Any suggestions gratefully received.
