Statins

I am a touch over 70 and they tried to get me on statins due to cholesterol "higher then we would like", I refused and changed my diet.
In particular stopped using pork shoulder in curries, changed to chicken and used low fat mince (5%) in lots of other things, roasts are now a treat only. After a year of that they admitted my cholesterol was normal yeyyyy
As an ex heart patient with gout problems I have enough pills for breakfast along with there assorted side effects without anymore.
I put tiredness down to age but also beta-blockers, I recently tried reducing the dose of those and was rewarded with a mild heart attack!!
So some pills are unfortunately essential and the tiredness is here to stay.........

Potassium is best to prevent night cramps. Eat a banana before bed helps, high in potassium. Statins messed up my old man, he couldn't climb the stairs his joints were so bad through the statins.

Medications are not the only way to help you. When I had very high blood pressure, after some research rather than meds I opted for coconut water every day, after a month or so my blood pressure was normal, they put it down to the high potassium in the coconut water.

I was recently invited, as a CKD patient, to take part in some intensive research on heart disease, Stress tests, scans etc.. They suggested my heart was fine

Ridiculously high BP, was where my problems began - above 180. The specialist, who discovered I'd had a minor stroke, spotted a narrowing to my brain, and on my notes had written because of the narrowing, suggested it was best to maintain it between 150 and 160. The kidney specialist wanted it much lower. For a long time, it remained between 140 and 150, and a pulse at around 80 to 90, varying quite wildly, but for the past few months, weirdly, it has settled, become more regular, and always below 140, and a pulse below 80.

Is that related to how long you have been on statins ?

It sounds like are walking up in the middle of an anxiety attack. They are horrible and I wouldn’t wish them on anyone!

As above meditation can cause more issues than it cures

I thought meditation was meant to be good for anxiety.

Obviously, many things have changed since my days of wenching through the towns and villages. Being a tall chap with a smooth tongue, many a delightful young maiden succumbed to my slick words. I dare say the more direct approach applies these days :giggle:

I do feel like he likes me…..

Beautiful young maidens are still drawn to me. And I'm not even doing anything. In real life, I am just naturally very charismatic and extremely funny. It can get a bit embarrassing at times.
