Quick one hopefully. In a garage above the upvc door and above the garage door (2m wide steel swing door) there are steel beams on the inner brickwall. These beams both have small holes and bits of polystyrene inside but both are very cold to the touch. I want to insulate these steel beams but need to preserve airflow to prevent condensation buildup. Maybe gluing a layer of breathable roofing membrane to the beam before using expanding foam/kingspan block insulation?
