Sterling Falls...

You began by implying that the industrial troubles in the seventies was a result of Britain NOT being in the EEC.
I said that, IMO, the cause was bad management. Others will disagree with me and say it was the fault of the Unions. Either way, I don't see how it was NOT being in the EEC.
It was, of course, the EEC, or to be precise, France that would not let us join.

If you now mean that British management and Government will revert to their ways of the seventies (although, as I said, nearly everything now is foreign-owned) and purposely provoke strife, then I suppose it is possible.

I hope that Britain has moved on with its foreign owners who are more interested in successful business than treading on the workforce..

I don't necessarily disagree with you, I am just trying to be the devils advocate.
I hope that I am wrong and that everything works out for the best.
If it dosen't who will be hurt the most, no prizes for guessing , the ordinary working class at the bottom of the pile.
Those with the money will ride it out until the good times return. Was ever thus.
Just one other point, what happens if the EU breaks up as a result of Brexit,?
