i thought plumbing can be hard on the body some times. u know.....2 days in the loft trying to reach the very far corner, rolling in fibreglass, or smashing up the unbreakable cast iron bath, lifting them b****y floor boards etc.

well, i did some slabbing at mine for 2 days last week.
my hands r ****'d
my backs gone
my leg muscles ache
i trapped a finger between slabs
i cracked about 6 slabs that i had spent good time cutting to size.
i'm still caughing up cement dust
i got some sand or summit in my eye ( after that i wore eye protection)

next time i'll plumb and leave slabbing to a slabber

done the same a few years ago when i dug out for a patio seven skips of soil waste laid the patio broke my hand in the process slab landed on it ten weeks off work they thought they may have to amputate a pinky but managed to save it now i pay people to do the work expensive lesson learnt the bloody hard and painfull way
