Stiff door handle

The handle for my front door is very stiff when I pull up.
It lifts up almost completely but for the final bit I need to pull up really hard.
I tried with the door open and it's the same.

What do you think the problem is?

Could be anything but I would start with lubricating it. Silicone or graphite spray get it right in on all the moving parts
