Stone circle for my parents

I did this while they were on holiday a couple of years ago, they had bought the circle off e-bay and I had removed the gravel from my own garden.

I didn't bother with hardcore, just scraped back a couple of inches or soil then bedded them on a wet mix of grit and cement.

Decided on the centre and moved the soil

Used some cheap child labour to mix the cement

Used a good quality barrow

Then worked from the middle out

Our youngest did the last piece

Then missus H pointed the edge

And that was that

Next day we fitted a small fence and poured the gravel onto some membrane

Still looks exactly the same now, my Mum and Dad were pleased with it and said it was lovely to come home to a new garden.

Nice job, I bet you and Junior enjoyed that. Now you need an anti-aircraft gun or a radar installation to stand on it.
