stopcock issues

now then folks....

got a black plastic mdpe? coming out of the concrete floor to the stop cock..the stopcock aint much cock so i said i'd change it...
without measuring it i got a poly stopcock 20to15....
However the plagy pipe is 18mmmmmmmm !#$%^&

What do i do now ? cant get a 18mm to 15mm stopcock..
can i get an adaptor to make it 15 or 20 ?

it sounds like 1/2 " black alkathene
ask at the merchants should be able to get an adaptor

I've had this pleasure.
You can get 18 to 15 coupler in brass (plumbers merchant)or plastic adapter from Travis Perkins.
Fit on supply and then attach small piece of 15mm pipe to your 15mm stoptap.
I searched everywhere for a stoptap to fit this black pipe to no avail

Saw an instalation the last week were blue mdpe came out of the concrete and had been slid onto a length of 15 or 1/2" pipe. The joining area was about 8" long. I've no idea what type of adhesive had been used but the owner said it had been like that since the house was build 30 yrs ago.
