Hi

I am needing to replace a tap in my bathroom and need to turn off my water however the stopcock is not budging! Ive tried WD40 and heating it but to no avail. Any advice appreciated

Slacken off the gland nut, get more WD in there and steadily try to get it moving.
If it really won't play, one trick is to turn the water off in the street and put another stopcock just up from the original - if access is really bad for replacement.
John :)
