Hi, I’ve been asked to replace some old storage heaters from a flat - they seem very old and I’m a bit worried they contain asbestos. I couldn’t find any make or model numbers on them. I’ve attached photos , it’s a long shot but if any storage rad expert out there knows please help.

Asbestos containing storage heaters are normally only those from the mid-1970s and earlier, so 40+ years old at least. Most of them are long gone as parts cannot be obtained for them.

Don't recognise those you have got, but from the style and size it's very likely they are considerably newer, probably 1990s.

The very old 70's and earlier were much larger things, often at least 12 inches depth and were usuall free standing objects rather than attached to the wall.
Those you have got are considered 'slimline' modern ones.

List of asbestos ones here: https://www.aic.org.uk/storage-heaters-asbestos/

Thanks for the reply - I did think they’re doing well if they are pre 1974.
