Storing Combi Boiler

Hi All

I need advice please

My extension is progressing. I now need to remove and store combi boiler for at least 6-8 weeks (may be sooner). Is there any chemical I can use to to stop diverter valve sticking/seizing.

Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Not really.

Just store it in a cool dry place.

The pump shaft may need spinning when its reconnected.

I hope a CORGI engineer is involved in relocating it!

You could whip the DV out and unstick it in minutes, before you get it reinstalled if it's the earlier ecomax one (252457)- might as well get a spare for the inevitable in fact.
The later ones are better.

Chris, how on earth did you work out that he has a Vaillant boiler?

In fact since its a storage combi then statistically I would have been putting my bet on an Alfa or a Vokera.

What can I say other than I am amazed. Is it a guess or have you read my other thread on boilers. Indeed its a vaillant ecomax 824.

Absolutely I am a safety minded person therefore the boiler is going to be removed and refitted by a Corgi engineer.
