much more likely the heating element, they do not last for ever.
however it might also be thermostat, switch, wiring, connection etc.
if you take out the heating element (I expect it has a plug connector at the end) you might be able to test if it is open circuit.

We had this problem at home the fan is fine (well ours was) There was a cut/bad wire connection so the heating wasn't coming out. The only way to get this sorted will probs be to call someone out, if your still under warranty that shouldn't cost you a penny!
