Strom Electric Boiler no hot water

Local gas Safe engineer. He couldn't test it today because Strom office closed at 4.30 and he didn't arrive till after that so couldn't get the resistance look up table.

E7 on a Strom boiler usually points to a domestic hot water sensor fault or related wiring issue. Since heating works fine, the hot water circuit isn’t being detected properly. I’d check the flow sensor connections and possibly replace the sensor. Sometimes a reset clears it, but if persistent, a qualified engineer should inspect.

Info from Strom is that the hot water temp sensor throws up this fault. Should be able to check the operation of the flow sensor with a multimeter across the terminals as well.

Update on the boiler. Wednesday the heating engineer finally replaced the triac board and the temp sensor as advised by Strom. Now when my nephew turns the hot tap on he tells me it throws up the same E7 code but then seems to right itself and then heat the water properly, he also says it does this when the boilers not heated any hot water for a while.

Further update on the boiler it also keeps tripping an RCCB on the consumer unit which indicates an earth leakage fault.
