I'm wanting to remove 1.3m of brick supporting wall on ground floor and replace it with timber frame couple of feet back. The existing wall was separating two bedrooms and was staggered which gave each bedroom a wardrobe space. One of the bedrooms has been converted in to a kitchen so wanted units there so blocked off the cupboard so in other side now wanting to get rid of the L shaped brick supporting wall to make bedroom bigger. Would building control allow a wooden frame for the size removed ( the new wooden partition wall has been strengthened with timber in cellar).
