Hi,
.
Just wondering if anyone could advise if there's an easy way to get this little button to pop back out as from memory it should stop the temperate going all the way but doesn't.

Have tried WD-40 but it's not budging, maybe some vinegar or limescale spray will help? Or welcome any other suggestions

If you take the knob off (there's usually a screw underneath an end cap) you'll be able to get to the inside and clean/descale it properly to free it up. Worth trying some descaler from the outside first though, and you might need to carefully use a pair of pliers to wiggle it free.

Note that if you do remove the knob you'll need to put it back in exactly the same position to ensure the temperature markings (and the 38C limit) remain valid. I use a digital thermometer in the water flow to recalibrate it if I ever remove ours.

Spring may have gone, if so nothing will fix it apart from a new spring. Needs to come off to check.
