hi, I’m erecting a stud wall across a room, where the ends of the wall meet the two already exsisting walls would I remove the plaster and attach the end studs to the breeze? Or attach over plaster?

Thanks.

Thanks for quick reply, what case would I benifit from removing the plaster?

For reference.

It's the same when you trap anything behind the stud whether that be floor wall or ceiling. Future removal of surrounding fabric would usually dictate.

We would always remove say floor tiles prior to building off a floor. We always remove the corner beads when bricking/blocking a window up because they can show through or give the impression that a window was there previously, even after plastering.
