Hello all. Just after some advice really. I live with a fairly high water table under the house. Small pools come and go in the subfloor with the weather and I have had a specialist damp surveyor out who has confirmed that there is no dry/wet rot in the timbers or damp issues anywhere else in the house.

The only problem we're left with is that we get quite a musty after it has rained, which as we know in the UK, is all the bl**dy time!

I have adequate air bricks but wanted to know if anyone had any experience of subfloor ventilation fans. I've not been able to find anything in the UK but there are a few in Australia/USA. I have seen this one that looks like it would be perfect for what I want: http://www.dampsolutions.com.au/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/55
They say it removes musty smells from the subfloor and costs next to nothing to run continuously. it would cost £250 with delivery. I was going to install it at the back of the house and block the airbricks up there and fit a couple of extra ones at the front/side. There is adequate flow from the front to back. What do you reckon? Is it just the same as an extractor fan? And is there any potential issue with removing the air this way?

Thanks
Andrew
