Substituting shower pull cord for wall mounted switch-help!

You appear to have a TNCS or PME earthed system - cause the main earth emerges off the top right side of the black service fuse block.

The main earth must be 16mm minimum and the main bonding must be 10mm minimum for such an install.

Hey, you gotta love the banter! :D

Seriously though, can anyone tell what all the bits are? What they do, what doesn't look right and needs fixed, what doesn't look right but should be ok, etc?

And the last thing, the RCD, how and where should I put it? But understand this, before you post, my head may explode with too much technical stuff. So things like "Take that wire out and put it there" or "Screw it on the plywood next to the black box", will be fine. But "Insert it in sequence with the MCD, coupling the CU through the kitchen lamp shade, whilst holding down play on the video", may not help quite as much! :D :D

As always, I'm here to learn, and maybe amuse!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took time to read and reply to my posts.

Shower switch now fitted, with rcd in place. All done, in no small part, with the information received on these forums, especially froms Sheds ;) . Everything looks ok, and its all working, and I havent received any shocks, yet!

Merry Christmas to you all, and keep up the good work!
