Hi.We have kitchen tiles above our worktops but would like to change the first two rows high without having to replace the old ones.
Would there be a sort of splashback that we could use and if so,what would this be made of,aluminium maybe?
Many thanks,Adrian

Thanks Prentice Boy.
They are 6" square.
Unfortunatly,I cant seem to view the link you posted.

Your elect sockets...what row are they on....do you have enough play with the wiring to bring them out further..???...

Strip the tiles...
And then do as you please.

If you go to top tiles website and look under kitchen tab, then kitchen splashbacks. Could give you some ideas.

Check your elect wiring...before ya go any further...especially when some nugget....is directing you to Topps Tiling...fffs they are the dearest lot out there, try a local indie, you will get better prices ..

Cheeky git!
read my post! FFF!
I did not suggest buying from topps tiles, I suggested it would give ideas.
And they are not the dearest out there either, do you use topps tiles and ever asked them about their prices?

GeorgeandAde,
It is valid point regarding socket-outlets and cable lengths.
If your socket outlets are not being moved and staying the same positions, you may find that the cables are a little short to terminate as you will be bringing the surface of the wall out a little. There could well be enough slack though, so investigation is needed.
But if they are short, it is easily remedied by extending the cable lengths using connection strips/blocks within the back boxes.

It would be a grey area under "schedule 4" if it was considered notifiable work though.

Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunatly, the electric cable behind the sockets is too short so maybe another approach.
Wife and I may decide to paint them.
Many thanks once again.

You can extend the the lengths be using a connection strip and lengths of cables coloured and rated the same as existing, providing that it is accessible, which it will be if it is in the back box of the socket outlet.
