Does that sort of thing not happen normally with other governments and Country's?
Nissan wouldn't have needed a bung if UK hadn't left EU.

Even if it did, it could've done so.

So Nissan staying is not a Brexit bonus

Are you suggesting the EU doesn't provide financial inducements for Nissan and other non EU companies to invest?

I doubt they would be allowed to in this case. May break state aid rules. Nissan is 43% owned by Renault which is a French nationalised company. French must think it's Christmas having £100m of British taxpayers' money to prop up a French nationalised company. French must be doing quite well out of Brexit with all those UK companies setting up there for access to single market. We must be very desperate for deals if this is seen as a Brexit benefit. Then there's the Oz deal with virtually zero in it for us, except we reduce consumption of high quality, high welfare home produced or EU produced beef and lamb in exchange for hormone injected, low quality, low welfare meat from 10,000 miles away - hmm great for the environment that one.

These 'deals' and financial inducements are great. Yes, great for other countries, but they keep the Brex enthusiasts cheering so must serve some use.
