Does anyone believe in re-incarnation?
How about 'Time-Slips' where a person can turn around or walk into a shop and feel themselves in another era? On turning back or walking out they are back in the present day.
Any thoughts?

I used to get deja vu when I was younger and it would be accompanied by a strong metallic taste in my mouth. Never happens anymore though. Strange, but probably explicable.

True though, matters not whether you're stabbed, heart attack or decapitated, cancer, poisoned, or any other horrific manner, you die when your brain is starved of oxygen.

Not true.

Explanation as to why?

OK. Someone blows your head off with a shotgun. Brain in a thousand bits. That's just one non-scientific example.

Your brain has been starved of oxygen due to its lack of integrity.

18g is a very small amount. Who found this out and how?

I'm not sure it is 18g, but there appears to be a small but significant weight loss at the time of death, which is unexplained.

I was almost brought up on science, and as such I firmly believe in it, but I accept it cannot explain everything... until we manage,if ever we do to unravel it all Then, as all scientist should, but routinely don't do, is keep an open mind.

I'm pretty sure about how most things work, but I'm most defintitely not sure about some stuff.

Its well known that as children our brains are more receptive to incoming messages/signals. As we grow we start to 'lose' these capabilities, One of the reasons why a young child can pick up things like foreign languages much quicker than a teenager/adult.
As a child we had 'imaginary' friends.
As an adult we have schizophrenia.

   No need for that kind of nonsense Eddie.

Not nonsense at all, if its in bits and has no oxygenated blood flow it will die... therefore it has died due to lack of oxygenation.

A decapitated head can live for seconds.
Blown into smithereens your f*cked. FACT.

F*ck all to do with oxygen.

for about 8 seconds. Everything to do with oxygen. it is absolutely everything to do with every cell in your body. Talk us through the TCA cycle and all your mitochondria.

Talk us through the TCA cycle and all your mitochondria.

I wish I had the time :D

So you're saying bits of brain on the pavement would be living. Agreed.

Still f*ck all to do with oxygen for the moments the bits stay alive.
