Supporting pier size/construction

I have emailed him back for more clarification.

I was thinking I would just do the corner pier 440 x 440 which would make it two bricks but then I got looking into padstones to go on top and they only do padstones which are 440x440x215x100. So the padstones would only sit on a pier which is 1 brick thick, which doesn't see right at all. I need a 440x440x215x210 padstones.

Usual trick there is shutter it off & pour on to fit out of concrete- check with SE what mix he wants

Yep, that's what the architect has said to do. Cast in place. No idea what mix to use tho.

The SE will have an idea as to what compressive strength he wants, he should quote something like C30 mix at you. If you do go this route, make a brick shaped mould or 2 and chuck the left-overs in, it'll give you a test sample if its that critical

Thanks.... Yeh I've seen this one but need it thicker... This is only 100.

Thinking of just using two 440 x 140 x 215 padstones on their sides. So would be a full 440 x 215 x 140 Padstone then half a one to make the L... Can anyone see any issues with this?
